Join Joan Fullerton in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a beautiful place to visit and create art. Explore the city’s magic, color, history, and culture and learn to paint freely, find your own voice, and be happy in the process.

Join us and experience inspiring demonstrations, lectures, and one-on-one feedback as you explore new concepts.  Let’s discover a deeper meaning to the intricacies of shape, line, and color. You’ll learn to coax hints of reality from an abstract background, how to control values and colors for emotional emphasis and how to suggest rather than delineate.

Joan believes that when we travel with an artist’s awareness, we widen our lens of life and its possibilities, as we deepen our connection to the world and create greater meaning. This shared life-changing adventure of cultural experiences and authentic artmaking is the way to really see and feel Mexico!

Because San Miguel de Allende is such a feast for the senses, this workshop consists of 3 full days of exploring before spending 4 days in the studio. As we open our minds and hearts to noticing, collecting, and organizing what we’ve experienced, we will unleash new stories to create new relevance in our art.
